Currently, if I copy-paste the content into a Google Doc or export it as a Word file, the image doesn’t come attached to the document. It’s hard to add them again—especially if there are too many images to do that to.
Would it be possible to enable image export too?
This feels like it should be coming since images are supported in the creation of a document in Butterdocs. It’s incomplete if they are not includes in the export.
I second this feeling. I started exporting to Substack and had to go through things one by one, and accessing pictures is really a nuissance.
Actually, copy/pasting with images should now work (I just tested ButterDocs -> Google Docs and images were imported properly). Unfortunately, substack doesn’t import them properly (basically just ignores them). Unfortunately, substack doesn’t offer an API, otherwise we could publish directly. So we will look into exporting zip files, where the images are bundled, but you will still have to drop them into substack manually, unfortunately.
You’re right! It did work and I don’t mind copying that much.
